What's in My Film Set Tool Pouch?

Every camera operator, cinematographer, and camera assistant needs a good tool pouch and set bag to carry all their tools on set. In this video, I go through all the tools in my tool pouch, things I need fast access to multiple times each day. These tools include things like my trusty Leatherman, a set of pens and markers, lens cleaning tools, camera rigging tools like velcro ties and bongo ties, c47’s, a flashlight, surveillance coms, matte box tags, allen wrench set, and a few other bits and bobs.

I really like videos like this because it’s great to see what other people are using and if there’s anything you could incorporate into your own system to improve your efficiency and effectiveness on set. It’s very nice to have tools that make our jobs easier so we can work smarter, not harder.

Everyone is slightly different, but this is the system that’s worked well for me. I’m always modifying and making small improvements to it, so I’ll be sure to do a sequel video to this as my system changes over time.
