Sennheiser is a brand that we at Neuway Media use on the daily for our productions. Their headphones and microphones come with us everywhere. So we were super excited to get an opportunity to work with Sennheiser this week for a promotion of their Momentum True Wireless bluetooth earbuds. The idea was to shoot an acoustic studio session with a band, feature the earbuds at the beginning of the video, and then have the band announce a contest for the earbuds at the end.
The client wanted the studio session to have a warm, moody tone to the lighting so it would feel intimate and cinematic. This look was achieved with some of our film lights as well as a few salt lamps and lava lamps as practicals in the background. The location of the shoot was MNYK studios in Philadelphia. MNYK was the perfect place for a shoot like this because their focus is on music recording. They were able to hook up all 4 Sennheiser mics in their recording studio and mix/master the audio in real time on set. The look and sound of the final piece turned out amazingly.
Since this video was designed for Sennheiser to use on their facebook and instagram pages, turn around times needed to be extremely fast. Social media is an insanely competitive landscape and timing can be super crucial. At Neuway we recognize this and make it a top priority to not only deliver a great video, but one that is optimized for social media and delivered ASAP. That’s why we edited the video for the client on the spot so they could release the video later that night. It doesn’t get much faster than that!
